TRAVEL INFORMATION

FLIGHTS FROM THE UK AND IRELAND: Flying to Nice from the UK and Ireland has never been easier or more affordable. With Easyjet flying to Nice from Stansted, Gatwick, Luton, Liverpool, Bristol, Belfast and Newcastle, with BMI and some times BA offering good value out of Heathrow and Aer Lingus out of Dublin, there should be no stopping you getting a good value flight to the South of France. Flight time from the UK and Ireland is approximately 2 hours. At peak times, it may be cheaper flying with Ryanair into Genoa (Italy) and renting a car to drive to Nice (1 and 1/2 hour drive).

FLIGHTS FROM THE USA & CANADA: There are direct flights with Delta Airlines / Air France from New York to Nice, however, most of our American and Canadian guests seem to prefer flying into Paris CDG or London Heathrow and then take a connecting flight to Nice.

FLIGHTS FROM AUSTRALIA: All of our Australian guests have flown into London Heathrow and connected on a flight for Nice.

TRAVEL FROM NICE AIRPORT: Getting from Nice airport to our apartment is simple: either take a taxi (at a cost of approximately €28) or a direct bus to the train station (€4 per person) followed by a 5 minute stroll towards the beach.

BY CAR: If you want to drive, or are visiting Nice as part of a touring holiday, Nice is situated on the motorway that stretches way into Italy in the east and west to Marseilles connecting to the motorways that head up north to the channel ports and tunnel. Nice itself is fairly easy to navigate around once you get your head around the US-style grid system.

PARKING IN NICE: There are two public car parks within a 5-minute walk of our apartment - we always use the one on Place Mozart. Parking on the streets of Nice is a nightmare, so we would suggest parking in public car parks to ease the stress.

BY TRAIN: Nice train station is on the main TGV line. This means you can take the high speed train from Paris and other major French cities (like Bordeaux).
